The following steps will help you get started working against a demo Docker container. If you have other servers setup such as on a domain then skip ahead.
-
Ensure PS Remoting is enabled on the host machine (the machine running the Remoting Explorer tool)
Enable-PSRemoting
- used to enable remoting on the host machinewinrm get winrm/config/client
- check if basic authentication is allowedwinrm set winrm/config/client/auth @{Basic="true"}
- enable basic authenticationwinrm set winrm/config/client @{AllowUnencrypted="true"}
- allow unencrypted traffic from the host to the container or VMwinrm set winrm/config/client @{TrustedHosts="*"}
- trust every machine you try to connect to (use with caution)
-
You might end up with something like the following:
PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> winrm get winrm/config/client
