NNX is a collection of custom functions for Excel for working with simple neural networks. For now, version 0.1 has limited support for defining, training and using multilayer perceptrons, as well as a few utility functions.

Download and install NNX add-in from the main webstie: nnx-addin.org.

Prerequisites:

• Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition or above.
• Installer project depends on WiX toolset; download version >= 3.10 from http://wixtoolset.org/.

All other dependencies should be automatically loaded by NuGet during first build.

Excel add-in build outputs will go into $(SolutionDir)\NNX.AddIn\bin\Release. Primary output files:

• NNX-AddIn-packed.xll: add-in for 32 bit Excel.
• NNX-AddIn64-packed.xll: add-in for 64 bit Excel.

Installer build output goes into $(SolutionDir)\Installer\bin\Release. Primary output file is nnx-addin.msi.

The easiest way to run the add-in is to install it using the installer produced by the build.

Alternatively, you can load it into Excel by going to File -> Options -> Add-ins, then at the bottom of the dialog select Manage: "Excel Add-ins" and click "Go". When the new dialog pops up, select "Browse..." and then select NNX-AddIn-packed.xll or NNX-AddIn64-packed.xll in NNX.AddIn\bin(Debug|Release). Before building the add-in, make sure to unload it by navigating to the same dialog and unckecking it.
