A secure and open source smartphone chat application, to give you insight what happens to your data.
Compatible with servers supporting the xjcp-protocol. Currently the only software implementing this protocol is BlaChatServer (https://github.com/Bla-Chat/server).
Download the apk.
Install it. You may need to allow apps from unknown sources in the options of your phone.
Bla chat supports multiple conversations with any amount of users.
It supports:
- Text mssages with smileys (like :) :P and so on)
- Send and view images
- Share text and images from other apps
- Notifications
- Highlighted unread messages in chat overview
- Group conversations
- Browse messages offline
- Encrypted connection
- Any server can be used
- Settings (configure font size, theme, sync, led, vibrate and ringtone)
What does not yet work:
- Create coversations
- Add friends
Contribute by submitting issues for bugs you find with a link to the line of code causing it and a suggestion for improvement.

The app does not do xyz! Update the app and try it again, if it still does not work, write a detailed description what you did (starting with how you opened the app and every touch since then) and submit it as an issue. Screenshots help a lot.
