A program which allows management of salon Stylists and their associated Clients.
The data model consists of two classes, Stylist and Client. There is a 1:Many relationship between the Stylist and Clients.
The Stylist class contains the following fields:
- id
- name
- specialty
- id
The Client class contains the following fields:
- id
- name
- treatment
- stylist_id (foreign key)

Clone this repository. Prepare your machine to run the Kestrel server by following the instructions here. To start the local server, type in "DNX Kestrel" at a command prompt in the root directory of your project. Navigate in your browser to "LocalHost:5004" to view the homepage.
The root folder of this project contains two database scripting files (salon_test_script.sql for testing, salon_script.sql for production). To import these databases, do the following:
- Open SSMS
- Select File > Open > File and select the appropriate .sql file.
- Click !Execute.
- The databases should appear in your database listing.
- The database names (salon, salon_test) should be hair_salon and hair_salon_test).
- The ability to update/delete a client is not yet implemented.
