Dirigible Derby (DD) is a 2-4 player couch competitive game where the goal is to pop all other players in the game and be the last alive. Each player controls a hot air balloon with a spike on the bottom and jet engines on the side.
Each player has three lives, but after they use up their last life, their character stays in the game, but they can't control it. This leads to dead players falling from the sky and becoming a threat to the alive players even after they are dead.
The game is available for Windows on Itch.io!
I was a programmer on this project mainly handling the player lobby, some gameplay programming, and setting up the input. I was one of five people to work on this project over the course of a three week sprint for my IGME 320 Game Design class. The class game no constraints for the game that we made other than it had to be a digital game.
