Other transistors will work, check the datasheet for the following specifications: * Emitter-Base Voltage (VEBO) of at least 5V * Collector Current - Continuous (IC) of at least 400mA * Minimum DC Current Gain (hFE(min)) of 100 To use a single IR LED, change the 10R resistor to 18R. To use three IR LEDs instead of two, change the 10R resistor to 1.8R. Connect all three IR LEDs in series. Arduino Wiring: See Hardware\Schematic.png for wiring information. Arduino Programming: 1) Copy IRremote and LazerTagIr to the libraries folder of the Arduino IDE 2) Launch the Arduino IDE 3) Open Arduino\Sketches\Relay\Relay.ino 5) Under Tools->Board, select Arduino Uno (or appropriate) 6) Connect your Arduino 7) Under Tools->Serial Port, select the USB serial port to which your Arduino is connected 8) Click Upload
