Dette er et prosjekt for Universitetet i Oslo, med et mål om å utvikle en nettside for å simulere utvalget av mandater gitt et valgresultat og et sett med parametere. I første omgang skal det utvikles en variant hvor resultatet representeres i en tabell, men det skal senere gjøres mulig å få resultatet representert grafisk i et nummer av tabeller. Vi planlegger også å utvikle to varianter, en avansert variant hvor man kan justere på et stort antall parametere og man får resultatet i stor detalj. Og en enklere variant med færre valg og enklere representasjon av resultatet, men også da en mer intuitiv tilnærming man kan eksperimentere med for å se hvordan valgsystemet fungerer.

This is a project for the University of Oslo, with the goal of developing a web application that simulates the distribution of seats in various types of elections given an algorithm, parameters for the algorithm, and historical data. To start with the project will present this data in a table, but as the project progresses, increasingly advanced and useful visualizations will be made available (charts, maps). The application will have two "versions" available -- one that allows adjustments to certain simple parameters such as the algorithm type, the number of seats in total, and a few divisors/variables for the algorithm in question, and one that expands on this in detail, allowing political scientists to explore various scenarios. The former will focus on being educational and accessible for laymen.
