This project deals with the two main datasets provided in Chicago Data portal. Datasets used are: 1.Socio-Economic Indicator in chicago. 2. Life-Expectancy in Chicago.

######MOTIVATION:

This project is distributed with the intention to determine if there is any relationship of life expectancy in Chicago communities with the Socio-Economic factors like Poverty, Unemployment, and Per-Capita Income.

######INSTALLATIONS:

This product includes the following libraries and packages: MathNet.Numerics is used to provide methods and algorithm for numerical computation and for finding the correlation between different factors. NUnit framework is used for unit testing. It is an open source software.

######DOCUMENTATION:

Developer's Guide and User Guide is available in GIT WiKi, having a detailed description for both users and developers to goahead with the project and get benefitted.

Value of ρ Strength of Relationship

-1.0 to -0.5 or 1.0 to 0.5 Strong

-0.5 to -0.3 or 0.3 to 0.5 Moderate

-0.3 to -0.1 or 0.1 to 0.3 Weak

-0.1 to 0.1 None or very weak

The Analysis of Correlation indicates that there is a strong correlation of life Expectancy with Poverty, Unemployment and percapita Income.

Correlation between Life Expectancy and Poverty is -0.69

Correlation between Life Expectancy and Unemployment is -0.80

Correlation between Life Expectancy and per Capita Income is 0.57
