Introduction
============

Scribe is a server for aggregating log data that's streamed in real
time from clients. It is designed to be scalable and reliable. For more information regarding Scribe, please see https://github.com/facebook/scribe.

Apache log4net is a sub project of the Apache Logging Services project. 
It is a logging library similar for .NET.

Scribe Appender is a custom appender for log4net. It sends logging events to a running Scribe server.

Notes

The Thrift dll and Scribe files were generated on a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS machine. Steps for building the said files will be added to the wiki.
