ABSTRACT

In this paper we have investigated and analyzed touch-based and mouse-based moving target selection accuracy. This research is based on a game made with Unity. The game is consisted of objects falling with different speed. The goal of the user is to click the falling objects. Then, the distance from the user’s click and the position of the object at the moment of click is calculated. This way, we calculate the accuracy, which is the most important metric in our experiment. The results from every participant is logged into a file. For the experiment, test users used mouse and touch. The experiment was done as repeated measures. The size of the test sample was 16 people. After the experiment, the participants completed the survey. We made two analysis, mouse vs touch moving target selection accuracy and moving target selection accuracy based on object size and speed and the obtained results are presented below in our section Results.
